About This Blog

March 26th, 2010

This blog is about rules, techniques, and mechanics for refereeing in USA Volleyball.

There are so many questions that arise during the course of our refereeing careers.  Here is a site that will help us to answer so many of those questions, and see what goes on in other areas of refereeing.

  • How do other referees of varying experience levels handle the same situation that we might have encountered during a match?
  • How do different areas of the country handle their certification and training?
  • How has another referee handled the stress and scheduling of volleyball alongside work and family obligations?
  • Tips for others? If so, we’d love to hear them.

In addition, the blog will feature polls about how to handle situations as well as video clips for instruction, training, or “You make the call.”
